Reviews
Lovely hotel amidst the vines offering wine tasting on site and an elegant well equiped spa. Views from the room and the bathtub were spectacular. We had a lovely lunch and and the food was of a high standard. At breakfast our eggs And to top it all off, the staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome.
So I am sorry to say this, but this is not a five star hotel. Our room was nice and the hotel is ok, but that’s about it. The shower in our room was screaming hot and not really adjustable and the water pressure is changing every view seconds. But that wasn’t the biggest issue for us here. You need to speak Spanish if you want to have a comfortable stay here. The lady behind the reception desk was very friendly but is basically the only one that can speak English, the rest of the staff doesn’t and isn’t really giving the impression that they want to give it a try. The staff in the restaurant is not in for a little conversation in English and that made a us really uncomfortable. Like you are just being difficult. I am sure they are all really nice people, they just didn't make us feel like we were really welcome. We tried to use the translate app but they just couldn’t be bothered. The food looks amazing on the hotel pictures, but is pretty basic. And breakfast hasn’t got much choices to offer. No cereals for example or English breakfast and overall a really limited choice. They do offer you an egg menu though. We choose the poached egg on a blini with bacon and hollandaise sauce. What we got was a crepe and an omelette with a hard boiled egg (boiled without the skin in a plastic bag) with a dot of hard yellow stuff and it was all cold. Big disappointment to be honest. We also had dinner in the restaurant, food was ok, but nothing special. On the last night we both ordered the same hamburger in the hotelbar (without a bar). One came with cheese and bacon, the other without! We didn’t bother trying to explain that to the staff. The swimming pool outside has enough beds and you can pick up your towel at the reception of the spa. They do offer drinks at the swimming pool but no snacks unfortunately. It wasn’t all bad; A big bonus was the kind man at the checkout early in the morning. And they made us a takeaway breakfast because we left so early even though the normally don’t do that. Like I said; staff at reception was kind and helpful but there is a lot of room for improvement
What a wonderful location in the middle of one of Spains finest wine producing areas. Short drive to Toro and Zamora, Salamanca a bit further. We found it very difficult to find something to complain about, in fact nothing negative to …
I spent a few nights at this hotel on a recent trip to Spain and while the hotel itself is quite nice and my room was lovely, service was average and dining options too limited.||||One thing to note is that if Spanish is an issue for you, …

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms, the pool, the common areas are all clean. Congrats on that!||||Here my personal review of the rest:||||A 5 star property managed poorly, the staff is correct, polite although very busy and not focused on …
As other reviewers have commented, Valbusenda is a little off the beaten path, which suited us just fine; peaceful, serene, and great views. Most of our other hotels were in older restored historic buildings, so the contemporary …
We were part of a classic car tour of Spain and Portugal and we stayed here for two nights on our way back to Bilboa. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere which means the location is not ideal. However, both Zamora and Toro are close by. …
